Hunting in the Lower Laguna Madre can be a fun and exciting experience as you hunt and harvest  a variety of water fowl such as; Redheads, Pintails, Blue Bills, Widgeon, Buffle Heads, Mottled Ducks, Ring Necks, Gadwalls, and both Blue Wing and Green Wing Teal.

A typical day of duck hunting with Mike Knox is about 4 hours long, and hunts are primarilly from the shoreline and natural cover where you'll hunt diver type ducks. Decoy spreads consist of 50 to 75 decoys, including motion type decoys and standard type decoys. Duck hunting blinds are available, however some can only be accessed during high tides. If you prefer layout type hunting, Mike can also accomodate with a sneak box.

During your duck hunt with Mike, you'll hunt the Lower Laguna Madre Area from the Rattlesnake Bay system to the North, to the South Bay system to the south.

Mike also provides his own retreivers, although you may bring your own dog if preferred. Simply notify Mike when you make your reservation so he may accomodate for your dog.

Mike will provide you with all the variables for a successful hunt, however, the hunter will need to provide the following:

Season dates for Duck Hunting in the Lower Laguna Madre vary from year to year. Typically the seasons are November through January.
